The overview

What Is Full Mouth Restoration?

Full mouth restoration is a comprehensive treatment approach that rebuilds or restores all of the teeth in both the upper and lower jaws. It is not a single procedure — it is a sequenced plan that combines dental implants, crowns, bridges, and sometimes orthodontics to restore complete function, health, and beauty to your smile.

The difference between this and a string of one-off fixes is the planning. We design the final result first, then work backward — so every implant, every crown, and every graft serves the same end goal instead of being patched together over years.

All teeth, both arches

A full rebuild — not a single tooth in isolation.

Multi-disciplinary

Implants, crowns, grafting, and prosthetics in one coordinated plan.

Led by you

Designed around your bite, your face, your budget, and your timeline.

Is this you?

Who Needs Full Mouth Restoration?

There is no single "right" starting point — only the moment you decide the patchwork isn't working anymore. Full mouth restoration is designed for patients facing:

Multiple missing or failing teeth

You have several teeth that are gone, cracked, or past saving — and patching them one at a time stopped making sense.

Severe, widespread decay

Cavities and broken fillings across the arch that a single crown or filling can no longer solve.

Advanced gum disease

Bone loss and loose teeth from periodontal disease that has compromised the foundation underneath the visible teeth.

Extensive injury or trauma

An accident or grinding habit has damaged much of the dentition and the bite no longer functions the way it should.

Years of dental neglect

You have avoided the dentist for a long time and now feel overwhelmed by how much there is to fix — that is exactly who this is for.

Failed previous dental work

Old bridges, failing root canals, or loose dentures that have finally given out and need to be replaced comprehensively, not temporarily.

If you have been told "there is nothing more we can do" — that is usually the beginning of a full mouth restoration, not the end of the road.

The outcome

Life-Changing Benefits

This is not cosmetic dentistry dressed up. It is the rebuild that makes everything else — eating, speaking, aging, smiling in photos — feel normal again.

A complete smile in weeks, not years

Implants, crowns, and prosthetics are planned together in one sequenced workflow — no bouncing between specialists, no piecemeal fixes that undo each other.

Chewing and confidence restored

Replace loose, painful, or missing teeth with a stable bite that lets you eat the foods you love and stop hiding your smile in photos.

Natural-looking, permanent results

Every tooth is custom-designed to your facial proportions, gum line, and bite — so the final result looks like it grew there, not like dental work.

Facial structure preserved

Implants stimulate the jawbone the way roots do, preventing the sunken, aged look that follows tooth loss and conventional dentures.

Built around your goals and budget

Treatment is phased so you can move at the pace that works for your life — with financing that makes a full rebuild genuinely approachable.

One team, one chair, one plan

Surgery, lab work, and final restorations happen under one roof with Dr. Gjelaj leading every step — no handoffs, no diluted accountability.

How it works

A Clear Path from Start to Smile

Full mouth restoration sounds daunting because it is comprehensive. Here is the whole process — no surprises, no hidden phases.

01

Diagnosis & 3D imaging

A full-mouth CBCT scan, photos, and bite records give us a complete picture of bone, gum, and bite — the foundation everything else depends on.

02

Smile design & planning

We design your final smile first — tooth shape, length, color, and bite — then work backward to the surgery and restorations that will deliver it.

03

Surgical & restorative phases

Implants, extractions, and bone grafting are sequenced with temporaries so you never leave without teeth, and every step follows the master plan.

04

Final delivery & maintenance

Custom crowns, bridges, or full-arch prosthetics are seated, the bite is refined, and you leave with a maintenance plan that protects the investment for decades.

“I received a same day replacement veneer on a tooth and it was beautifully done! I am new to Florida and had delayed getting a new dentist. When my veneer popped off I called Trinity Dental Arts. They worked me in even though I wasn't a regular client and did my teeth cleaning that morning before fitting me for my new veneer. A very high-tech office with in-house ability to make the new tooth. Dr. Gjelaj and her staff were very kind and throughtful. I am so glad to have her as my new dentist.”

Recovery & longevity

Implant Healing & How Long They Last

The most common questions about what happens after implant surgery — and how to protect your investment for decades.

Most patients return to work and normal routines within 1–3 days. Mild swelling and tenderness peak at 48–72 hours and ease with over-the-counter medication. After the gum heals, the implant quietly fuses with your jawbone over 3–6 months in a process called osseointegration — you are not in pain during that phase; it happens beneath the healed gum while you live your life.

Placement is done under local anesthesia, so you feel pressure but not pain during the procedure. Oral conscious sedation and IV sedation are available if you are anxious. Post-operative soreness is typically milder than a tooth extraction and is managed with prescribed or over-the-counter pain medication for a few days.

Stick to soft foods for the first few days, then gradually reintroduce your normal diet. With same-day All-on-4 provisional teeth, qualifying patients eat carefully the same day. Most people are back to work and light activity the next day; we ask you to avoid strenuous exercise for about a week to protect the surgical site.

The titanium implant fixture itself can last a lifetime — 25+ years and counting in long-term studies — with proper care. The visible crown or prosthetic arch typically serves 10–15+ years before it may need refreshing, while the implants beneath remain securely in place. This is what makes implants a permanent solution, not a temporary fix.

Brush twice daily, floss or use a water flosser, keep up with professional hygiene visits, and wear a nightguard if you grind your teeth. Do not smoke — smoking is the single biggest threat to implant longevity. The same habits that protect natural teeth protect implants, so the upkeep is already familiar.

First, soft-tissue healing and any swelling settle over the first 1–2 weeks. Second, osseointegration — your bone grows onto the titanium implant over 3–6 months. Third, the final crown or prosthesis is placed once integration is confirmed on imaging. With same-day protocols, a temporary tooth or arch means you are never without teeth at any stage.

Implant failure is uncommon — roughly 2–5%, and lower still with a board-certified specialist and non-smokers. If an implant does not fully integrate, the site is allowed to heal and the implant can usually be replaced. Following your aftercare instructions and keeping your hygiene visits keeps that risk low, and Dr. Gjelaj monitors every implant at scheduled check-ups.
