All-on-4 vs All-on-6Which Full-Arch Option Is Right for You?

Fixed teeth for daily use — the only question is how many implants support them. Board-certified implantologist Dr. Xhoana Gjelaj, DMD reads your 3D scan and matches the number of implants to your bone and bite, never as an upsell.

  • Same-day provisional teeth when suitable
  • $300 consult · 30-day treatment credit
  • A 3D CBCT scan decides the number

All-on-4 and All-on-6 use four and six implants respectively to support a fixed full arch. All-on-X is the umbrella term: X represents the number of implants and can include either approach. Implant count alone does not determine treatment quality. Your anatomy, bone, bite, restoration design and overall health guide the plan.

The right number starts with the examination

A consultation considers more than an image of your jaw. Your dental and medical history, gum health, available bone and the way your teeth meet help guide whether implants are suitable. Imaging is used as clinically appropriate.

Four implants may support an appropriate full-arch plan. Six may provide additional support where placement and restoration design make that useful. More implants are not automatically better, and neither approach suits everyone.

Understand temporary and final teeth

Same-day teeth generally means a provisional restoration placed around the time of surgery when adequate implant stability and other clinical criteria are met. It is not a promise of final teeth in one visit.

Healing, adjustments and the final restoration take additional appointments. Ask which stages are included, what you can eat while healing and how your maintenance plan works.

Plan the total cost, including ongoing care

All-on-4 treatment at Trinity Dental Arts starts at $25,000 per arch. The exact plan, materials, included services and additional fees are confirmed in writing after examination and imaging. Ask about maintenance visits, repair and replacement costs as well as the initial treatment.

Neither implants nor replacement teeth are maintenance-free or guaranteed for life. Financing depends on lender approval, APR and current terms. Compare the total amount payable before choosing a payment plan.

Common questions

Is All-on-X the same as All-on-6?

No. All-on-X describes a full arch supported by a chosen number of implants. All-on-4 and All-on-6 are two configurations.

Are six implants always better than four?

No. Implant position, bone support, restoration design and your clinical needs matter alongside implant count. An examination is needed to recommend a configuration.

Will I receive teeth on the day of surgery?

A provisional restoration may be possible for suitable patients. Your team confirms the plan after assessment; immediate teeth and treatment outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
