A knocked-out tooth, uncontrolled bleeding, or facial swelling with a fever cannot wait. Call now — we hold same-day slots for urgent cases during office hours.
Dental emergency? Call now:

These situations need same-day attention. Here is what to do in the first 30 minutes for each, factually.
Pick it up by the crown, never the root. Rinse gently if dirty, keep it moist in milk or saliva, and call (727) 228-6846 — re-implantation is most successful within the first hour.
Apply firm pressure with clean gauze for 15–20 minutes. If the bleeding does not slow, keep pressure on and call us; if it remains heavy and will not stop, head to urgent care.
Facial swelling paired with a fever can signal a spreading infection. Call immediately. If the swelling is closing your airway or affecting swallowing or breathing, go to the emergency room.
Rinse with warm water, save any fragments, and apply a cold compress to the cheek to reduce swelling. Call for same-day repair.
A hospital emergency room can manage pain and infection and rule out danger, but it cannot do definitive dental treatment — it cannot re-implant a tooth, repair a fracture, or restore a tooth. Patients who go to the ER for a tooth-specific emergency are often sent to a dentist the next day anyway.
Calling us first means a quick phone triage: we assess how urgent your situation is and, when clinically warranted, get you scheduled same-day during office hours. Our hours are Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Learn more on our emergency dentistry page.
Most dental emergencies are resolved in a single visit — pain relief, a repair, an antibiotic. But some need more: a tooth that cannot be saved must come out (oral surgery), an anxious or traumatized patient may need sedation managed by a board-certified anesthesiologist, and a broken front tooth may need a same-day crown from an in-house lab.
Because all of that lives under one roof here, an emergency treated at Trinity Dental Arts does not become a referral chain. The same team that sees you urgently can also handle the extraction, the sedation, and the restoration. See our tooth extractions page for what surgical removal involves.
