Dr. Xhoana Gjelaj of Trinity Dental Arts

What is All-on-4®?

According to Nobel Biocare's clinical documentation, All-on-4® is a clinically advanced dental implant procedure that replaces a complete arch of teeth using just four strategically positioned implants. Developed in Portugal in 1998 and patented by Dr. Paulo Maló, this technique represents a paradigm shift from traditional one-implant-per-tooth approaches. Unlike conventional methods requiring 6-8 implants per arch, All-on-4 achieves superior biomechanics through precise angulation and bone utilization.

Trinity Dental Arts' All-on-4 Planning: Dr. Gjelaj uses examination and CBCT 3D imaging to plan implant placement around your anatomy and restorative needs. Implant number, positioning, grafting needs and timing are determined individually. Eligible patients may receive fixed temporary teeth on the day of surgery; final teeth follow healing and clinical review.

Your consultation includes a discussion of benefits, risks, alternatives and maintenance. Individual outcomes vary; no procedure can guarantee a particular result.

Trinity's Same-Day Protocol

How Dr. Gjelaj plans surgery, temporary teeth and your final restoration

Advanced Pre-Operative Planning

Pre-operative assessment includes examination and appropriate imaging. Dr. Gjelaj reviews your bone, anatomy and restorative goals to develop a personalized plan and discuss alternatives.

Guided Surgical Technique with Surgical Template

Computer-guided planning helps the team prepare implant positions around your individual anatomy. Dr. Gjelaj selects the implant system, number and surgical approach based on your clinical needs.

Immediate Temporary Prosthesis

When clinical conditions and implant stability allow, fixed temporary teeth may be fitted on the day of surgery. Some patients need a staged approach. The team explains your temporary restoration, diet, healing and follow-up instructions before treatment.

Timing and Follow-Up

Surgery length and the number of visits depend on extractions, grafting, anesthesia and the restoration plan. Your written plan explains the expected stages and follow-up visits; final teeth are fitted after healing and clinical review.

Clinical Note: Same-day temporary teeth are an option for selected patients, not a guaranteed outcome. Your examination and surgical assessment determine the appropriate timing.

Recovery Timeline & Expectations

Week 1: Immediate Post-Op

Minimal discomfort managed with prescribed medications. Swelling peaks on day 2-3, then gradually subsides. You'll eat soft foods (soup, yogurt, mashed potatoes) and avoid hot foods. Trinity patients are given comprehensive post-op instructions and have direct access to Dr. Gjelaj's team for any concerns.

Weeks 2-4: Early Healing

Most swelling resolves. You begin transitioning to more solid foods (fish, eggs, well-cooked vegetables). Continue gentle rinsing with salt water. Most Trinity patients return to light work by week 2. Your temporary teeth are fully functional and look natural—no one will know you just had surgery.

Months 2-6: Osseointegration

Your implants are fusing with bone through a process called osseointegration. This critical healing phase requires you to avoid hard, sticky foods and smoking. Trinity patients return for check-ups at weeks 1, 2, 6, 12, and 24. You'll gradually expand your diet as healing progresses.

Month 6+: Final Restoration

Once fully healed and integrated, your temporary prosthesis is replaced with your custom-milled permanent restoration. This final prosthesis is crafted from superior materials (porcelain, zirconia) for enhanced durability and aesthetics. Final appointment includes color matching, bite adjustments, and comprehensive care instructions.

Pain Management & Comfort:

Most Trinity patients report surprisingly minimal post-operative discomfort—often less than a tooth extraction. We provide prescription pain management for the first 7-10 days, though many patients find over-the-counter medication sufficient by day 3-4. Ice application in the first 48 hours significantly reduces swelling.

A plan built around your needs

Your consultation includes examination, imaging and a discussion of treatment options. Timing, grafting needs, expected benefits and maintenance depend on your assessment. Individual results vary.

All-on-4 Questions from Trinity Patients

Get answers to the most common questions about All-on-4 dental implants in Trinity, FL

How much do dental implants cost?

Approximately $5,500 complete; All-on-4 starts at $25,000 per arch. Your exact fee and included services are confirmed after examination. The full-arch pricing tiers are published on the Fixed New Teeth page, and the Dental Implant Cost page explains what moves the number.

What is included in the Signature Consultation?

A 90-minute in-office visit with CBCT imaging, full X-rays, an intraoral scan, and a written treatment plan. $300 prepaid, credited toward treatment begun within 30 days.

Can I start with a Free Virtual Consult?

Yes. A Free Virtual Consult is a separate conversation from home about your goals and next steps. Call our team to arrange a free virtual conversation. The in-office Signature Consultation is requested through our consultation page.

What is FiXedNewTeeth?

FiXedNewTeeth is Trinity Dental Arts’ All-on-X service brand, not a separate clinic. A fixed bridge replaces a full arch and is supported by implants. The implant number is determined by clinical assessment.

Do you offer removable snap-in dentures?

No. Trinity Dental Arts’ implant restorations are fixed. A fixed arch is not removed by you at night, although a dental professional may remove it for maintenance or repair.

Will I receive temporary teeth on surgery day?

This may be possible when implant stability and other clinical conditions allow. It is not suitable for every case. Healing and final teeth are separate stages, and grafting may be necessary depending on your anatomy.

How do I care for implants, and how long do they last?

Follow the cleaning and follow-up plan your clinician provides. Health, hygiene, smoking, bite forces, and the restoration affect outcomes. Implants and their restorations can develop complications and may require repair or replacement; there is no universal lifespan guarantee.

What should I know about financing and insurance?

The practice lists CareCredit & Cherry. Eligibility, APR, term, down payment, and monthly cost depend on the lender’s written offer. Insurance benefits vary by plan; do not assume a percentage of treatment or diagnostics will be covered.

Is a lifetime warranty included?

Do not assume lifetime coverage is included. The practice’s pricing page describes an optional six-year third-party service warranty with a separate written quote. Review covered components, exclusions, fees, and maintenance conditions with the team before treatment.
